Secretary — Mrs. Jane Allen
Jane Allen grew up in northern Illinois, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa, and was stationed as a Navy Nurse at Balboa Hospital in San Diego, CA. Here she met and married Dan Allen, a young Lieutenant Commander who was stationed at Miramar with VAW-116. After 29 years of marriage, 16 of those years as an active duty Navy Wife, Dan passed away in September of 2006. Dan was actively involved in establishing the VAW/VRC Foundation when he learned that he had cancer. Jane’s desire is to assure that Dan’s dream for the VAW/VRC Foundation is fulfilled.
